QUEEN OF HEARTS

Since arriving on the scene in late 2011 with her debut EP ‘The Arrival’, the enigmatic and elusive Queen of Hearts has quietly carved out a niche for herself with a handful of carefully executed independent releases and collaborations, cementing her status as one of the most exciting and original faces in electronic pop music.

Returning to the fray in 2018 for the first time since the release of her 2014 debut album ‘Cocoon’ (a top 5 charting iTunes album in various territories) and her co-write and appearance on Le Youth’s ‘REAL’ (16m Spotify streams and counting), the London based singer has seen her music adopted increasingly by US TV, with her work picked up by the likes of Grey’s Anatomy, Jane The Virgin, Bojack Horseman, Do No Harm and Famous In Love.

The pseudonym of 30 year-old Liz Morphew, her breathtaking fashion-forward visuals have made her a mainstay of both music and fashion press, with her music fronting campaigns for the likes of Morgan and Benetton, and accolades coming from the likes of Popjustice, Music Week and Pitchfork.

A prolific live performer, she’s played across the UK, Europe, US and Asia, with highlights including Coachella, CMJ, Wireless Festival, BT London Live, Spain’s Yahoo! On The Road, and Vietnam’s Feel The Love Festival.

A jazz trained singer raised on a diet of 80’s synth-pop, it wasn’t until she moved to London in her late teens and began writing with some of East London’s finest underground musicians that she discovered her calling.

AMAHLA

You could forgive a lack of creativity in youth culture in 2019. The palpable uncertainty of issues like Brexit, immigration and women’s rights threatens to douse the flames of creativity in the next generation. But in times of hardship, authentic voices, stories and creativity can always thrive.

Hackney native Amahla is a prime example of this. After graduating with a 1st class degree from UCL with a thesis on African American brutality, Amahla was mentored by Songwriter Carla Marie Williams (Beyonce, Britney Spears) as a finalist in her songwriting competition. A year later Amahla was awarded the PRS Lynsey De Paul Prize fSOor outstanding emerging female songwriters.

Amahla then closed 2018 as a recipient of the second ever MOBO Awards X Help Musicians Grant for her exceptional voice. Making industrious use of her community Amahla has cemented her reputation as one to watch for 2019.

The young artist has already performed at legendary venues such as The Jazz Cafe and Camden Roundhouse and The Royal Albert Hall.  She also featured on the co-written “Red Honey” alongside Bronswood future bubbler Shunaji. The track landed the #1 spot on Radio 1Xtra’s EP of the week, where Amahla was named “One to Watch”. The next step was to begin releasing music from her solo project, with the first single “Old Soul”, garnering support from BBC Radio 1Xtra, 6Music and a number of tastemaker online media. The follow-Up “Dorothy’s Verses’, has since been supported by the likes of Complex UK and Earmilk.

This February, The young songwriter is looking to expand on her growing fanbase with her first full EP project, alongside a sold-out launch event at London Roundhouse. Rarely does an artist so effectively capture the voice of a people as well as Amahla does in her debut project. The release ebbs and flows between the arresting and poignant acapella styles of “Consider This” and “These Times I’ll Wait”, and the neo-soul influences of “Old Soul” and “River”. On the release, Amahla demonstrates a storytelling ability long beyond her years, exploring issues of Domestic Violence, Race, Class and inner city life. It’s a culturally important release, with an undeniably talented songwriter at its core.

ADMT

ADMT is a 24 year old Pop-R&B artist from Doncaster, UK. The energetic artist began his musical upbringing as a drummer, playing in bands from the age of 14 across the North of England. From residencies in a function band in Butlins Minehead, to being a session drummer for numerous bands, ADMT was never content just being the guy sat at the back of the stage.

The contrast of ADMT’s double life is a staggering one, having spent his early 20’s juggling time between working in a glass bottle factory, fish mongering in Doncaster Market and touring as a respected session drummer.

ELOISE VIOLA

Brighton born and raised singer, songwriter and performer Eloise Viola, conducts her music career with a level of constant professionalism and commitment.

Throughout her life, music has always been a burning passion. First struck at an early age by the music and performing talents of Lauryn Hill, she was further inspired to sing, write and perform herself through listening to her idols Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Janis Joplin and Adele.

Later in life, Eloise discovered a passion for psychology before studying the field at University in an attempt to follow a more pragmatic career path. This would later lead to her co-hosting her own body positivity podcast, a subject she continues to be passionate about.

“I have put a lot of work into having a positive body image and working on my mental health surrounding eating/exercise. I wanted to share my journey and help young people (especially women)”

However soon after university, on introduction via close friend/mentor and top vocal coach Stevie Lange (Rita Ora, Robbie Williams, Michael Kiwanuka) to US based producer Brandon Friesen (The Kooks). Eloise decided that her music should take centre stage and receive her entire focus. Friesen was so impressed with Eloise’s voice and presence that he insisted on producing her first set of releases.

Her debut release “For My Eyes”, soon led to her first headline tour dates in the U.S, as well as Sofar Sounds shows in London and L.A. The perfectly balanced, contemporary pop anthem lead to support from Euphoria Magazine, Lock Magazine and Popdust, not to mention a sold-out debut show in London Her social platforms have also found her new fans worldwide via her live videos on YouTube & Instagram.

The new single “Think About You” showcases the fierce, contemporary pop vibe Eloise is bringing to 2019. Her topline packs attitude and compliments the outstanding production to a tee.
